Many of us find our plates getting fuller with things to do. We care and we do more and more. We step up when others are ambivalent. We step up more when others are doing. We identify ourselves as a giver and could actually be terrified to be seen as a "taker". The thing is, we can't give if we don't take. 
This post is to celebrate my mother's creativity and inclination for functionality and not aesthetics.
